Organic Vegetable Production Course (Class/Workshop)

Join us for Introduction to Organic Vegetable Production, a course for people planning to make the leap from vegetable gardening to production for profit and beginning organic vegetable producers who are ready to refine their techniques in order to optimize their production and profit. Penn State Extension is offering this course the second Saturday of the month from April to September in the Allentown / Center Valley, PA area. The objective of this course is to introduce aspiring and new vegetable producers to diverse production strategies and provide a framework for effective farm production planning. Healthy Cooking (Health & Wellness)

What’s Up in the garden? We will work with fresh local produce. This could include peas, radishes, watercress, spring mix,asparagus, spring onions, baby turnips and carrots. Throw in some goat cheese and pine nuts, a little olive oil and vinegar, some nice artisan bread and we will have a meal. Taught by Gale Maleskey, MS, RD
Kid Support (Health & Wellness)

Location: Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley
For children, ages 4-17, with a family member or friend with cancer (in treatment or post-treatment), or for children who, themselves, have cancer. The entire family can meet others in similar circumstances and learn skills to cope when cancer is in their lives. Dinner provided. Pre-registration required.
